Sticky Chinese Pork Belly

Here's a super easy dinner for two to try with minimal effort


Ingredients


Pork
  • 6 pork belly slices
  • 1 litre of chicken stock
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ginger
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
Glaze

  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of honey/maple syrup
  • ginger
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chilli
  • lemon grass
  • vegetable oil 

Method
  1. Add all the pork ingredients to a heavy bottom casserole dish, bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 2 hours 
  2. Take out the pork of the liquid - keep to make soup later on
  3. Lightly fry the pork in a frying pan until golden 
  4. Add the glaze ingredients and cook until the glaze is thick and syrupy - Remember to baste the pork as its cooking.
Serve with some stir fried veggies or rice - Easy!
